Not too familiar with rhubarb, but Lilacs...well, as you know, they are my favorite. That pie does look delicious though.

Our entire northwestern area of Michigan has the nicest display of lilacs in years... for a couple of weeks now we have all been driving around with our car windows open just for the lovely lilac fragrance!
Rhubarb is a northern clime plant and extremely tart... that's why so often we combine sweet strawberries with it in pies and crumbles. Good to hear from you... wait till you see my pitiful garden. Photos coming soon. Pat
