Family Photos

It is so rare that my immediate family assembles for a photo! Here
we all are on April 5th, Prescott, AZ. The occasion was the baby shower for
my daughter-in-law, Karlyn. Baby girl is due the end of April/first of May.
From right to left are my daughter Wendy, Karlyn, dad-to-be son Brian,
grandma-to-be ~ that's me!, and step-grandpa-to-be, Richard.

3 Horse Hitch

Thankfully I had my camera with me when driving down a country road today.
I was returning from an estate sale happily thinking of my new treasures. When
I saw this scene, I stopped for a couple photos. This is no ordinary barn door!

My Happy Spring Tree

A couple of mild sunny days and the official first day of spring made me decorate this tree all Pretty-in-Pink!!! Found some stray bunnies and a pink flamingo and called it good. Very cheerful while we wait for snowbanks to disappear. Daffodils are up, robins have returned and pussy willows are all fuzzy!

March~In Like a Lion

....and oh, how we hope the month of March goes out like a lamb! In fact, some mild weather would be welcome any time now. Talked to my daughter yesterday who lives in the Valley of the Sun, otherwise known as Phoenix, AZ. Temps were nearing 90* there as she was sweeping bouganvilla and palo verde blossoms out of her office back into the courtyard!! Here it was -10* at dawn and by sunny afternoon it was all of 10* above zero! We thought it was lovely, however, and walked the dogs on the ice along the shore of the lake in the sunshine!

Will share some photos of knitted dish cloths here... fun pick up work on a wintry day.
The green/teal cloth was made for me by my friend. She gave me the pattern book, too.

I made the creamy one from the pattern book.

And now I am working on a "waffle stitch" cloth... directions shared

Happy Valentine's Day!

I hope you all had a wonderful Valentine's Day.

Thought I'd show you how pretty those tulips
are after a week on my windowsill. I think they
are just as pretty in their faded state.

The Scotty Dogs keep selling on my Etsy site
so I made a couple more.. will list tomorrow.

Open Windows at 35*

It was soooo beautiful here today. I scooped the snow off
my thinking bench in the garden and sat there in the sunshine
soaking it all in. Opened the windows and let the 35* breezes
blow through. Heavenly! With tulips and hyacinths in my
kitchen window, can spring be far behind?

Pink Posie Poochie Pillows

The first Scotty Dog pillows I made and listed on eBay sold quickly. I made a couple more and they sold. Here are two more! These I just listed on my Etsy site along with one more plus some little puffy pompom pillows.... just for fun! These pink pups make me "think spring" with all their flowers and pink polka dot bows. Although it has been sunny here, it is crisp and did not get UP to ten degrees today! The big Lake Michigan bays are freezing... this is good for the Cherry Trees!
